It Isn’t Feasible to Do it All Yourself
When you’re feeling as if you’re doing everything on your own and you’re overwhelmed, that’s when you’re most likely feeling resentful about your caregiving duties. It might be a good idea to look at the resources you have available. Friends and family members who maybe couldn’t help in the past might have experienced a change in circumstances that allows them to help you more now. You Still Have a Life and it Matters
If one of the mistakes you’ve made up to this point as a caregiver is to neglect your own life a bit, you’re not alone. Figure out how to make sure that you’re taking some time away on a regular basis. Instead of feeling guilty when you experience a negative emotion or one that you consider to be bad, see if there is anything you can learn from what you’re feeling. Chances are that you can correct something that isn’t working well for everyone involved.
