In February, we celebrated 2.5 years of running our Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program. This program provides an opportunity for individuals who are not yet certified as Home Health Aides to become certified. Certification is a requirement set by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
Our program is offered monthly at no cost and is taught in person by one of our RN Supervisors. We provide all necessary materials, including textbooks, workbooks, classroom instruction, and clinical skills training. The program spans two weeks and culminates in the award of a Home Health Aide Certification. Graduates receive their certification upon completion of the program.
This initiative is particularly beneficial for family members who wish to become caregivers for their loved ones. In our February class, we had the privilege of training and onboarding two wonderful mothers, Candy and Katelynn, who are now certified to care for their children.
This program empowers our clients to remain at home while receiving the highest quality of care from those who know them best.
