Being a frontline employee today means taking extreme risks each day in support of your clients\u2019 well-being. Star Multi Care<\/strong> has recognized this sacrifice and as a thank you to their employees has participated in CROCS\u2019 national campaign, \u201cSharing a Free Pair for Healthcare<\/em>\u201d. Mr. Sternbach\u2019s Company is comprised of six home health care branches located throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida. Each week the Company services over 600 clients and employs approximately 500 employees. The clients they service are generally the weakest and most vulnerable of the population, the elderly and disabled. Therefore, they are also the most susceptible to the COVID-19 virus.<\/p>\n

Recognizing these potential hazards, home health care workers continue to enter client\u2019s personal homes each day with the ongoing potential of exposure to the virus. \u201cI am proud to be an essential worker\u201d, said Elizabeth Behm, a Home Health Aide from the Allentown, Pennsylvania branch, Extended Family Care.<\/p>\n

This pride is felt by the entire Star Multi Care management team. \u201cThe true heroes are our field staff\u201d, stated Mr. Sternbach. \u201cWe have done everything we can to assist the employees in mitigating any potential exposures\u201d, he continued. \u201cWe continue to monitor the situation, update our procedures and secure the PPE (personal protective equipment) necessary to keep our employees and clients safe\u201d. \u201cThese employees risk their own lives every day to help others so we try to treat them like the \u2018Super Stars\u2019 they truly are\u201d, he continued.<\/p>\n
