Jennifer C, is an HHA, assisting her grandmother through Extended Family Care. She also has an adult, high-functioning neurodivergent son. Because of this, she advocates and works through Autism / AuDHD / ADHD Virtually.
“As you know, my son is autistic. You may not know he is dually diagnosed with ADHD. As I learned more and more about ADHD through him, I realized where he got that part of his neurotype from (spoiler alert: me).
What you may not know is that for the past 2 years – time I have spent focusing on taking care of my grandmother instead of working in the behavioral health field as a TSS/BHT – I have focused my advocacy and work through Autism / AuDHD / ADHD Virtually. Our namesake Facebook group is over 1000 members strong but we also have a YouTube channel for content and also do in-person events when we can. We just added a monthly newsletter to our content.
I am sharing this newsletter with you because I know you also support neurodivergent clients and their families and a newsletter like this would be a great resource to them.
It is important for me also to state that it is just as important for information like this to get out to the other 99% of the world as you will begin to understand when you read the newsletter’s main article. It would mean a great deal to me if (after reading and exploring our newsletter and finding that it meets your standards as a quality resource) to become one of the many links in the chain in sharing this resource that I know will reach people and save people through education and the messages provided in this publication.
Sincerely,
Jenn C”
