On Monday the Extended Family Care office in Pittsburgh held an Employee Appreciation Day in honor of their employees. The event included hot meals with dessert, a Target gift card raffle and the presentation of a gift to each employee. The celebration continued from 8:00am-4:00pm in order to accommodate each employee’s schedule.
“We hope to have these types of events on a regular basis”, said Seth A. Gehman, Administrator. “We like to let each employee know how much we appreciate everything they do for us”, he continued. In effort to further their gratitude, Extended Family Care has recently enhanced the benefit package offered to employees as an additional gesture of thankfulness.
In accordance with the Employee Philosophy Statement of Star Multi Care, the parent company, believing that “the employees are the cornerstone of the Company’s success” stems from the Owner and CEO, Stephen Sternbach. “Our employees are our most valuable resource”, he said. “Being a reputable home health care provider since 1938 shows our commitment to people”, he said. “We are not only committed to the patients we serve but to each employee”, Sternbach continued. “Our success has been rooted in the quality staff we employ so we want to do whatever it takes to keep them happy”, he concluded.
