After receiving the prestigious honor of being named the 2018 Pennsylvania Direct Care Worker of the Year, Ric Williams, an Extended Family Care employee, deserved a celebration commemorating his distinguished award and accomplishments. Stephen Sternbach, the President and CEO of Star Multi Care, the parent Company of Extended Family Care, spared no expense to show Mr. William his gratitude and pride of the esteemed accolade. “Ric’s hard work and dedication got him this award and he deserves to be celebrated”, Mr. Sternbach stated. “My hope is that each year I will be throwing this event for an Extended Family Care employee because they are the foundation of our Company”, he continued.

The winner is revealed concluding the ceremony and includes a $1,000 cash prize and certificate presented by the Secretary of Aging. This year there were a record setting amount of attendees, well over 200, with the hope that the number of nominees will continue to grow each year.
As stated by Mr. Sternbach during his speech and presentation of gifts to Mr. Williams, “Direct Care Workers need to be recognized for their commitment to the frail populations they serve.
